Some rules to remember when putting your Kilt Outfit together

1) Do not get your kilt too long! It’s supposed to be to the top of the knee. If your kilt is too long, or worn too far down, not only does it look ill fitting it doesn\'t show any skin between the kilt and hose (sock).
2) Don’t pin your kilt pin through both parts of your apron. This causes the kilt to hang badly.
3) Don’t mix day wear and evening wear. E.g don’t wear a dress sporran and a fly plaid with a jacobite shirt and your socks rolled down.
4) Don’t wear a balmoral bonnet with the ribbons behind. The ribbons should be should be at the centre of the back.
5) Don’t wear feathers in your bonnet
6) Remember to take the tacking stiches out of your kilt
7) The kilt pleats should be at the back of the kilt.
