About Us

Kilts Direct was started by Jan McKenna a Scottish Kilt Maker back in 1995, until recently it was purely a site offering Kilts handmade by Jan.

Jan and the members of ScotClans joined forces in April 2008 to produce a site that could offer the Kilts that Jan made alongside the Scottish products ScotClans sourced. With ScotClans managing Kiltsdirect.com it freed Jan up to do what she was best at - making Kilts. Our aim has been to be able to offer customer's Kilts straight from Scottish Kilt Makers therefore making them more afordable but keeping the highest Scottish Quality.

ScotClans has always worked towards supporting the Scottish manufacturers, with our new partnership with Kilts Direct we are now supporting the highly trained Scottish Kilt Makers by making them more competable in the world market.

Kiltsdirect.com has been built by Iformis who are part of our extended family. If you have any questions about Kilts Direct then please feel free to contact us (just not all at once).
